Who is this for?
This assessment is built for organisations that are serious about moving to the cloud but want to go in with a clear plan rather than guessing. It is particularly suited to businesses running on-premises infrastructure or legacy hosting who need to understand the full scope of a migration before committing budget and resource. Engineering managers, IT directors, and CTOs will find the outputs directly useful - both for planning the technical work and for presenting a credible business case to leadership. If you have more than 10 applications, get in touch to discuss a tailored scope.
How it works
The assessment runs over seven working days. It begins with a discovery workshop to understand your current environment, business priorities, and constraints. Each application is then assessed individually - covering its architecture, dependencies, data flows, and suitability for different migration patterns. The output is a detailed report with a wave-by-wave migration roadmap, cost projections comparing your current spend against estimated cloud costs, and a risk register with mitigation strategies. The engagement closes with a 1-hour presentation of findings to your team and stakeholders, giving everyone a shared understanding of the plan ahead.
After purchase, you will be redirected to book your session at a time that suits you.
Coming SoonFrequently asked questions
The assessment runs over 7 working days. This includes discovery workshops with your team, technical analysis of your applications and infrastructure, and preparation of the final deliverables. We work around your team's availability.
Before the assessment, you will complete an intake form covering your current environment, applications in scope, and migration drivers. During the assessment, we will need access to architecture diagrams, infrastructure documentation, and time with your technical leads. Read-only AWS console access is helpful but not required.
You receive a comprehensive assessment report covering: application portfolio analysis with migration patterns (the 6 Rs), dependency mapping, target architecture recommendations, cost projections (current vs cloud), a phased migration roadmap with wave sequencing, and a risk register with mitigations. You also get a 1-hour walkthrough of the findings with your team.
Yes, AWS Migration Acceleration Programme (MAP) funding is accessed through an AWS Partner. Kaizen Cloud Consultancy is not an AWS Partner, but we regularly help clients navigate the MAP process through their existing AWS Partner relationship. The assessment deliverables are designed to support a MAP application.
The standard assessment covers up to 10 applications in depth. For larger portfolios, we can extend the engagement or take a tiered approach - detailed assessment for your most critical applications and a lighter-touch categorisation for the rest. Get in touch to discuss your specific needs.
